The whole reason I got started in essential oils was to support this guy here through seasonal and environmental distress while the pollen is flying. We’ve been using oils for this for years now with great success!
We had been using TriEase two times a day and Lavender Touch around his eyes and this whole week and then on Thursday he woke up barely able to open his eyes!
I was a little surprised and in denial that my precious oils had failed him! So we added some Blue Tansy to the regimen and continued on. Blue Tansy is a very potent support for a healthy histamine reaction.
We kept this up with the TriEase, Lavender Touch, and now Blue Tansy topically around the eyes for a day and saw little improvement. I was not about to give up! I’ve been doing this long enough to know that if something isn’t working, there is probably another thing that will!
I went to my reference books and decided to try Basil for a healthy inflammatory response, and both Lavender and Melissa to support a healthy histamine response and overall immune support.
We used all three in a veggie cap on Thursday night: 2 drops each Basil and Lavender, 1 drop of Melissa. We used Lavender and Basil diluted in some good tallow balm (you can use coconut oil) around his eyes and diffused Lavender, Copaiba, and Roman Chamomile overnight in his room. Friday morning he woke up looking 80% better! Still some irritation and redness in his eyes and some puffiness, but MUCH improvement!! We kept on with the same oils.
This morning, Saturday, almost all the puffiness and the redness in his eyes has cleared up!! I knew my oils would come through! I’m so happy to have a well-rounded collection so that I can grab what I need when my family needs it! (Update: it’s been a week and the oils are still working great!)
We are also adding a homeopathic remedy to support him further and hopefully kick this for good!
